I had a wonderful stay at Clinton Park Inn in Velankanni. The staff was extremely helpful and attentive. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The location was perfect, just a short walk from the Morning Star Church. The chef made special food for me as I don't eat spicy food. I highly recommend this hotel.

Really enjoyed the central location of this hotel, making it so easy to access all nearby attractions. The complimentary breakfast was a great touch and definitely helped us start our days off right. the staff were incredibly friendly and eager to help us out with any questions we had.
The cleanliness of the hotel could have been improved upon with slightly older and shabby bed linens and bathroom amenities. While the facilities weren't quite up to our expectations, we could appreciate the strategic parking options available.

Would be close to the best hotel available in Velankanni, and I wanted somewhere where my 80yo father would have some comforts. The room was spacious and fairly clean by Indian standards. The hotel is within walking distance to the Church or a 50rp auto ride.
Breakfast was very slow, and very minimal for western tastes. The waiters & restaurant staff suffer from the same issues all throughout India, which is 'over-service'. They hang around watching you eat and attempt to provide service at every instant, when actually its a bit annoying. Taxi hire from the hotel front desk is a rip off. We were quoted 5500rps for a journey to Neyveli for a drop off only. I rang around and found that I could get one for the same trip + an overnight wait + a drop at Chidrambram railway station for 5000rps. The front desk doesn't have good credit card facilities & all my cards were not supported, which meant I had to trek into town to find an ATM that would work so I could pay in cash. Overall a bit disappointing as this was (probably) the best hotel available, and it fell short in many ways.

Proximity to piligrim facilities
1. Overall, the hotel pretends as star hotel, but providing much less quality service both in room and restaurant. 2. Since you did not ask for suggestions, I do not wish to make any.

Our romantic escape was made even better by the great service offered! the clean facilities and helpful staff made our stay enjoyable. the key location near the pilgrimage destination made it easy to access. the delicious food was one of the best aspects of our stay. We loved trying new dishes and the variety offered was great.
the language barrier made it difficult to communicate with staff, which made things challenging.

Guests can easily walk to the church as it is very near to the hotel's restaurant. the hotel is very close to the main church in the area, providing easy access to the most common reason for people visiting. the rooms are clean and spacious, with prompt service from the housekeeping staff. the complementary south Indian buffet breakfast is delicious, and the hotel provides great deals and discounts.
Some guests mentioned that the food at the hotel restaurant is average and a tad bit expensive, and suggested exploring other options in the vicinity instead.
